Where: Huay Yai is located to the south of East Pattaya and starts around Soi 6 Na Jomtien on the east side of the Sukhumvit Road.
Beach: Again there is no direct access to the beach in Huay Yai but they are all very accessible especially those of Jomtien, Na Jomtien and Bang Saray.
Sights: One the local attractions of note is the temple Wat Huay Yai. This is set on large piece of land and visited daily by the locals who come to pray. The temple is very attractive and you can even come here to help ensure that you only have good luck. Around the area there are a few attractions such as the beautiful tropical gardens of Nong Nooch, Silverlake Vineyards and of course the spectacular Buddah Mountain. The area also boasts two water parks, Cartoon Network and the recently opened Ramayana Water Park. Also all the attractions of the neighbouring areas are easily accessible.
Supermarkets/Markets: The area has a small local market and a number of mini marts. For the main supermarkets you will need to travel into Pattaya itself.
Restaurants: In this area there are local cafes and restaurants but no stand out quality establishments. For that special meal you will need to travel to the beachfront restaurnats of Na Jomtien and Ban Amphoe.
Sport: This area has several quality golf courses with Phoenix being the most well known, this is also a great place for cycling. Currently the nearest gym is in Ban Amphoe and is open 24 hours while verlooking the sea. Public Transport You will find Baht Buses to and from Pattaya on the Suhumvit Road. However if you don’t have your own transport you will have to rely on the local motorbike taxis.
The Property: This area has a number of quality villages with a good reputation and some really beautiful villas. Smaller and simpler housing is also readily available.
